What a great time we had with a day of creating an original piece of jewelry. Some wonderful surprises and some little challenges but overall a day with meeting new friends and learning new techniques.

My next class still has some space so call, 816-401-1411 to register it will be Saturday, January 26, 10-2pm. Also a new class in February 9, 10-2pm. Come and make an original assemblage necklace you would be proud to show off.

This retreat is a destination far from the stress of our everyday lives. A place where we can concentrate on the work without the distraction of the ordinary. This two day program caters to a small group of artists who are interested in exploring a unique form of expression through assemblage art. I would offer an environment of creative community where we all share ideas, learn new techniques and swap cast off materials we no longer want.

NecklaceNecklaceJan 5, 2008, 10-2 pm. I will be teaching an assemblage jewelry class in mixed media. If you have any small trinket, gadget, or something you just love from home, feel free to bring it to class. We will try to incorporate it into the art piece. Each of you will be creating your own necklace and no two will be alike. It will be fun to see what each one will turn out like. Come with lots of imagination and be ready to have a fun and relaxing afternoon creating a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry.

I am captivated with the human form which is the basis of all my art work. Self portraitSelf portraitI am constantly coming up with new forms of self-expression. I utilize a variety of reclaimed materials for my sculptures, such as broken furniture, found objects, wheels and unusual things others might see as junk. I hope you can feel the energy that comes from each of my sculptures. When I complete each one; they take on a life of their own.
